Salt bread is a trending bakery item these days. Although the trend might be subsiding slightly, many bakery brands and cafes still offer salt bread as a staple. The allure of salt bread lies in its buttery flavor and texture, even without any fillings. I'm a big fan of salt bread myself, and Jayeondo Salt Bread is a renowned bakery that specializes exclusively in salt bread. Be prepared for a wait in line, as it's quite popular. While primarily a bakery, it also has a cafe space within, operating as a cafe-bakery hybrid.

Due to its popularity, it has expanded from its main branch in Yeongjongdo to numerous locations across Incheon, Seongsu, Ikseon, and other areas.

Jayeondo Salt Bread exclusively focuses on salt bread and reportedly bakes it only 6 times a day. Consequently, they have designated baking times. Freshly baked bread comes out at 9:00 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM, and 6:30 PM.

They sell salt bread in sets of 4 for 12,000 won. Individual purchases are not allowed.

The interior is designed with a warm and comfortable aesthetic, giving off a sense of connection with nature, which adds to the overall trustworthiness.

Reviews often highlight the exceptional buttery aroma of the salt bread and its texture, which is described as crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

They use only the highest grade Canadian wheat and 100% French butter and French sea salt, which is certified for quality.

Let me share the best way to enjoy Jayeondo Salt Bread!

It's said that Jayeondo Salt Bread tastes best when consumed within a day at room temperature.

For longer storage, it's recommended to seal and freeze it for up to 3 days. To reheat it, preheat an air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius and heat for 3 minutes for the best results.

*If you've frozen it, be sure to thaw it before using the air fryer.

*Microwaving it can make it soggy and less flavorful.

If you plan to visit the cafe, please note that purchasing a beverage is mandatory.

For location details, I'll use the Ikseon branch as a reference. It's located at 1st floor, 21-17, Supyo-ro 28-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It's the first house on the second alley of the Hanok Village, next to Jongno Tax Office.

It's open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and their phone number is 02-743-2245. They also have an official Instagram account, which I'll share the link to below.
